Cross Roads

This abstract, non-figurative composition divides the sheet into a grid of rectangular panels. The upper section pairs two flat blocks of teal and green with a panel of mottled bark-like texture in cream, black, and slate blue; the lower section is dominated by two large triangles — one blue with pale cream vertical stripes, one deep brick red overlaid with faint etched marks including circles, numerals, and small linear glyphs — meeting in an X shape against a grey, lightly textured ground. The palette is cool and muted overall, with the red triangle providing the sole warm accent, and the etched textures give an otherwise geometric, hard-edged design a worn, printed surface quality.
