Leaving

An abstracted, collaged composition divided into distinct fields: a dark silhouetted figure at left rendered mostly in black and grey against a fine vertical-line ground, a broad flat russet-brown panel across the center bearing a small dark checkered motif and plant-like leaf shapes, and a densely inscribed beige-toned section at right filled with spiral and scroll patterns, faint architectural lines, and scattered pencil-like marks. The palette is muted throughout — ochre, black, grey, and cream — with a thin black band anchoring the bottom edge. "Leaving" by Paul Furneaux is a mixed media collage on board (year unknown).
