Reflection

A seated bearded figure in a striped, flowing robe is rendered in black outline against a mottled ochre and olive ground, with patches of white pigment obscuring parts of the face, hands, and lower body and streaks of red-orange scattered across the surface. The worn, textured surface and semi-transparent layering give the composition an aged, palimpsest-like quality. Paul Furneaux's *Reflection* (2025) is executed in collage and mixed media on wood with a resin coating.
