Tabiji

Tabiji is an abstract mixed-media collage by Paul Furneaux, built from layered strips and sheets of paper with deckled, torn edges. A dense band of horizontal blue ridged texture runs down the left side, set against a larger cream-toned panel filled with horizontal stripes in faded red, pink, and pale yellow, plus small stitch-like pencil marks and a red-and-white striped block in the lower right corner. The palette is muted and paper-like throughout, with a handwritten pencil inscription near the bottom edge.
