Water Fall

Three narrow, vertically elongated wooden strips of unequal length hang against a plain white wall. The tallest, central strip is painted in horizontal bands of pale blue, sea green, and grey with faint textured striations; the strip to its left is a uniform deep indigo blue marked with fine horizontal ridges; the shorter strip on the right is mostly pale grey-white with a mottled green-and-cream passage near its top. *Water Fall*, by Paul Furneaux (date unknown), is made using mokuhanga on wood and MDF combined with etching, pencil, pigment, and marble dust, and its slender vertical forms and cool, muted blue-green palette suggest the shifting bands of falling water.
