Description

A tan stone arch bridge with a red trolley crossing spans a narrow river bordered by dense dark-green foliage on the left and stone embankments on the right, with a cluster of angular buildings in muted blues, oranges, and black visible above the bridge deck. The still water below reflects the arch and stonework in pale blue-gray tones, and stepped stone walls line the riverbank; the composition is signed in pencil below the print with a red seal, and includes the Japanese title characters and edition number. Ray Morimura, "Hijiri Bridge," 1991, woodblock print.
