Description
A European cityscape viewed from elevation — the promontory giving Ono the kind of bird's-eye perspective that compresses rooflines and urban density into an abstract pattern. His high-angle urban views operate like urban maps seen from close range, the geometry of streets and buildings resolved into flat interlocking shapes. The European setting is suggested but unspecific, the city becoming a formal vehicle rather than a named place.
