Description
This oban presents five Tokaido stations — Shono, Kameyama, Seki, Sakanoshita, and Tsuchiyama — each rendered with its identifying landscape character. Shono was celebrated for its driving rain while Kameyama's castle on a mist-covered hill was another iconic sight; Kuniyoshi's version from c. 1830-35 offers his own interpretive lens on the road's most famous views. The multi-station format condensed the entire 53-station journey into a manageable series of collector sheets.
