A woman examining her reflection in a mirror makes for an intimate composition in Shoun's "Fashions of Today" bijin-ga series. Published before the great Kanto earthquake, surviving early editions are scarce. Pre-earthquake Matsuki Heikichi editions sell for $1,000-$2,500. Shoun's bijin-ga are collected but generally valued below his celebrated children's series.
