Utagawa Hiroshige II's One Hundred Famous Views in the Various Provinces (Shokoku meisho hyakkei), published 1859-1864 by Uoya Eikichi, extends the famous-places (meisho-e) project of his teacher Hiroshige I beyond the Edo capital to provincial Japan. The 81-print series (despite the 'one hundred' in the title) depicts notable landscapes across the country.
