Description
Enclosure 11 is among the series that most clearly articulates Amano's mature artistic concerns: the relationship between contained and uncontained, between bounded space and the infinite beyond it. The "Enclosure" prints use geometric frames, borders, and partitions to create compositions where the tension between interior and exterior space carries the emotional and conceptual weight. This eleventh variation in the series demonstrates the kind of serial, systematic investigation that characterizes his best work.
