Description
Imagination 47 belongs to one of Amano's more open-ended series, its title inviting the viewer to engage actively with the abstract composition rather than seeking literal subject matter. The forty-seventh variation in a series about imagination itself suggests a sustained meditation on the generative capacity of the human mind — each print is both an example of imagination at work and an invitation to imagine. Amano's geometric compositions in this series may be more freely associative than his more rigorous Enclosure and Fossil works.
