Description
Morning 13 extends the series further, the thirteenth study in Amano's meditation on the morning hours. By this deep into the series, Amano would have established the basic compositional and chromatic vocabulary of "Morning" with sufficient fluency to introduce subtle variations: different color relationships, different geometric configurations, different proportions of light and shadow within the composition. The serial format disciplines the artist to produce difference within sameness, innovation within a fixed framework.
