Breeze from Morning

A two-panel composition shows a dense row of large, round chrysanthemum-like blossoms in shades of pale blue, white, and deep indigo against dark foliage, set before a pale horizontal band of water or mist under a night sky. A small firefly or spark of light glows at upper left and a pale moth or butterfly hovers at center-right above the flowers. Asako Iwasawa's "Breeze from Morning" (acrylic on canvas, date unknown) renders the scene in a muted palette of blues, blacks, and whites, dividing the composition into two vertical panels.
