"Landscape" is a contemporary mokuhanga print by Chihiro Taki, created during the contemporary. This work demonstrates the artist's distinctive approach to landscape and memory through the medium of Japanese woodblock printing.
Taki is a Japanese mokuhanga artist born in Shizuoka whose layered landscape prints evoke a poetic space between illusion and reality. An instructor at the Mokuhanga Innovation Laboratory in Fujikawaguchiko, she creates contemplative works about moments and places we want to remember.
This print represents Chihiro Taki's contribution to the contemporary mokuhanga tradition during the contemporary. As with all works by this artist, it reflects both individual artistic vision and the broader cultural moment in which it was created. For collectors and admirers of Japanese printmaking, it offers a window into the sophisticated aesthetic world that produced some of the most beloved images in art history.
