Description

An abstract composition built from overlapping mauve and dusty-pink rectangular and grid-like blocks, over which loose black scrawled lines and tangled loops are layered. A vertical chain of dark blue-black bulbous, bead-like forms cascades diagonally through the center, accompanied by a small yellow circular shape near the top and scattered flecks of green, orange, and red. The print is signed in pencil "Spring A" and "Chizuko Yoshida" along the lower margin, with a red artist's seal near the lower right; woodblock print, 1954.
