Description
A dark, almost black rose with a large open bloom dominates the upper right, its thorned red stem cutting diagonally down the center against a pale grey ground. Layered collage elements build the surrounding foliage and thorns in grey, black, and white tones, with a smaller dark bud at right and a red-outlined pod-like form at left; a faint grey silhouette of tower-like structures runs along the bottom edge. *Asakusa Rose*, a 2022 collage by Elspeth Lamb.
