Summer Garden

Two large sunflowers dominate the composition, their orange petals and red-brown centers rendered in loose washes of watercolour against a pale blue sky. A dark mottled leaf and a smaller budding flower fill the right side, while pale, curling stem-like forms rise on the left against the sky. The palette is warm—yellows, oranges, and ochres—set against cooler blue and green passages in the background.
