Description
Summer Shower, a 2025 watercolour and collage work by Elspeth Lamb, is dominated by an abstracted cluster of purple and mauve boot- or limb-like forms with red-rimmed openings, radiating diagonally across the composition. Thin vertical rivulets of white and orange run down the paper like streaking rain, set against a mottled ground of pale green, cream, and burnt orange washes, with a sharp lime-green wedge cutting through the lower center. The overall effect is loose and fluid, built from overlapping translucent washes rather than defined linework.
