Description
Love and Star pairs two elemental symbols — human feeling and celestial body — within an abstract compositional framework. In Fukita's hands, such subjects typically become geometric or semi-geometric configurations: a star form rendered as angular negative space or a bold cut shape against a chromatic field, accompanied by softer, curvilinear passages suggesting intimacy or warmth. The contrast between the geometric precision of a star and the amorphous quality of an emotional state presents a productive visual tension. Fukita's richly layered color — a defining characteristic across his output — would reinforce this duality through the juxtaposition of cool, high-value tones against warmer, lower-key passages within the same composition.
