Description
An elderly fisherman rests reclining inside an open-sided wooden net house, its dark thatched roof and weathered posts framing the scene; a bird perches on the roof's ridge above him. Woven baskets, poles, and netting equipment surround him on the platform, with boats and water visible beyond in muted blue-grey tones against the structure's browns and greens. "Old Fisherman in a Net House," a woodblock print by Fumio Kitaoka (year unknown).
