Description
An abstract composition in deep indigo-blue tones, dominated by vertical striated bands resembling weathered wood or stone grain. Scattered across the surface are angular, dark leaf-like or petal-like shapes in black and pale blue-white, clustered slightly left of center with two more isolated near the upper left and right edges. The overall effect is dark and textured, with a mottled, granular surface finish throughout. Woodblock print by Hideo Hagiwara, titled Ishi no hana (Ao) (Stone Flower: Blue).
