Hagiwara Hideo

An abstract composition dominated by mottled red and burnt-orange tones, textured with a heavily grained, weathered surface, bordered top and bottom by broad black bands. Thin diagonal lines cross the field alongside scattered black dashes, dots, and daubs of yellow-orange pigment, with a small patch of dark purple near the lower left. The artist's name is brush-written in vertical Japanese script to the left of the print; this mokuhanga woodblock print is by Hideo Hagiwara, year unknown.
