Description
"Green Shade" explores the cool refuge of shadow filtered through foliage — or, in Tajima's abstracting terms, the particular quality of green light that passes through leaves and arrives on a surface changed. The green palette is deployed through graduated fields and overlapping transparencies, building a composition that feels interior and sheltered. For an artist associated primarily with textured abstract surfaces, this work shows his range into atmospheric, light-based compositions.
