Description
An untitled Nishimura Hodo woodblock print from his 1930s shin-hanga output. His decorative work across bijin-ga, kachō-ga, and landscape subjects was aimed at both the Japanese domestic market and the growing international interest in Japanese printmaking that characterized the interwar period. These untitled prints are part of the body of work that established his reputation as a technically accomplished and decoratively refined artist.
