$200–$2,000. Common Kyoto views: $200–$600. Key value factors: Ito Nisaburo's Kyoto prints are popular and accessible. Night scenes, snow views, and cherry blossom compositions command premiums.
Kurama Road depicts the mountain route running north from Kyoto through the Kurama valley, passing through cedar forest to the village of Kurama and its ancient fire festival shrine. The road cuts through dense woodland where the forest canopy creates a tunnel of green in summer and colored foliage in autumn, the narrow path between dark cedar trunks offering changing views of the mountain above. Nisaburo's woodblock captures the particular quality of mountain road travel in the Kyoto hinterland — the combination of forested enclosure and intermittent views of sky and distance.
