Description

A young woman with softly curled bobbed hair is shown in half-length, turned three-quarters to the right with her gaze lowered, against a plain grey ground. She wears an indigo cotton robe patterned in white with dragonflies and grass, cinched by a red obi patterned with pale octagons over a yellow-green under-layer, her lips painted bright red; a spray of pink hydrangea-like blossoms with dark leaves fills the space beside her. Woodblock print, "No. 7 – Flowers (1)," by Ito Shinsui, date unknown.
