Description
"Takai kozue (B) 高い梢(B) (High Treetops (B))" is a sosaku-hanga / contemporary mokuhanga print by Joichi Hoshi, created during the postwar. Joichi Hoshi devoted the final two decades of his life to a single obsessive subject — trees — and in doing so produced one of the most poetically unified bodies of work in postwar Japanese printmaking. This print represents Joichi Hoshi's contribution to the sosaku-hanga / contemporary mokuhanga tradition during the postwar.
