Description
The station of Hiratsuka in Kanagawa Prefecture appears here during the Tanabata — the Star Festival celebrated on the seventh day of the seventh month — when the town's streets were hung with the tall bamboo poles and colorful streamers that mark the festival. Tanabata celebrates the annual meeting of the stars Vega and Altair across the Milky Way, and the station's festival transforms the ordinary post-town streetscape into a riot of color and movement.
