Description
Mitsu Coast on the Izu Peninsula, facing Suruga Bay toward Mount Fuji across the water, and the island of Enoshima off the Kanagawa coast — two distinct vantage points that Kaiseki Jokata presents in a diptych-like format within a single print. Both are celebrated positions from which Fuji appears over water, the mountain in each case transformed by the maritime foreground into something more expansive and distant than its inland views suggest.
