Insight

*Insight* (2005), a woodcut by Karen Kunc, is a long horizontal composition of nine ovoid, seed- or eye-like forms arranged in a row within an elongated, rounded-edge band. Each form is rendered in dark reddish-brown with a pale blue-white slit at its center, joined by a thin white line running the full length of the print; a small circular white accent sits near the left end. Beneath this band hangs a solid deep purple-black rectangular field, set against the cream-white background of the page.
