Description
A concertina-fold artist's book stands open in a zigzag of panels, each covered in dense abstract etched motifs—checkerboards, spirals, chain-like loops, cross-hatching, and organic curves—rendered mostly in red, maroon, and orange tones with accents of blue, black, and cream. In front of the unfolded pages sits a red lacquered wooden box with a perforated lid pattern and metal clasp, presumably the book's storage case. Karen Kunc, "Transformation," 1997, etching and box for book.
