Gradation Leaves

Two vertical panels on a black ground depict a maple tree whose leaves shift from green through yellow and orange to red, set beside a swirling, patterned current rendered in grey tones with a scatter of loose red maple leaves floating on its surface. The deep black background throws the graduated leaf colors and the pale, curling water pattern into sharp relief, giving the composition a quiet, nocturnal stillness.
