Description
A dark, star-flecked night sky rises above a solitary conical peak whose upper slope emerges from a dense bank of pale, rounded clouds; below the clouds, a still gray strip of water separates them from rolling, deep-green forested hills that fill the foreground. The palette is restricted to near-black, white, gray, and layered greens, giving the scene a hushed, still mood. "Prime Summer," a 2017 mezzotint by Katsunori Hamanishi.
