The Temma-bashi bridge spanning the Yodo River in Settsu Province appears in this plate from the Shokoku Meikyo Kiran series, which documented famous bridges across Japan. Temma-bashi was a landmark of commercial Osaka, its long wooden span connecting the city's trading districts and serving as backdrop to the bustling river traffic of the merchant metropolis.
