Description
*Matsurinohi* (Festival Day) depicts the entrance to a traditional building with a dark timber facade and tiled roof, a striped noren curtain bearing a round crest hanging in the doorway, and a paper lantern with calligraphy mounted on a wooden post beside it. The palette is muted — ochre, brown, and dusty pink walls under a pale blue sky band — with geta sandals visible on the ground before the entrance. Katsuyuki Nishijima's woodblock print composition is frontal and architectural, centered on the doorway's textures and the hanging curtain.
