A large comic triptych from 1864 with a title that translates approximately as "Kyosai's One Hundred Absurdities, Comic One Hundred Thousand Repetitions." The work belongs to Kyosai's early satirical output, produced when he was in his early thirties and at the height of his daring — a period when his biting caricatures of political figures earned him a brief arrest and imprisonment by the Tokugawa authorities.
