Description
Autumn is a woodblock print that addresses the season through Maeda Toshiro's particular visual vocabulary. The fall foliage tag confirms the print engages with the changing colors that define Japanese autumn, from the fiery reds of maple to the golden tones of ginkgo. Maeda renders these seasonal markers through the layered color printing that woodblock allows, each hue requiring a separate carved block and a precise registration.
