Description
Four bare masts rise from calm water, their rigging lines crossing in loose diagonals against a flat horizon lined by a distant jetty or breakwater. The image is rendered almost entirely in rose-pink and dusky blue-violet tones, with the water's surface reflecting the vertical masts in soft, broken streaks; no figures or vessel hulls are visible above the waterline. A narrow deckled white border frames the composition. Photopolymer print, "Heimweh nach dem Meer / Longing for the Sea (Sunken status / An impossible passage)" by Martha Schlegel, 2023.
