Description
"The Invisible Sea (Naval Hill)," a 2024 mokuhanga woodblock print by Natasha Norman, is an abstract composition built from irregular cloud- or wave-like forms rendered in pale cream against gradients of blue. The palette shifts from soft turquoise at the top through deeper blue in the lower two-thirds, with patches of gold-brown pigment appearing among the blue forms near the bottom left. The print contains no figures or identifiable landscape elements, relying instead on jagged, feathered edges and layered organic shapes to fill the composition.
