Description
Five white egrets cluster together against a graduated blue-gray background flecked with falling snow or spray. Two birds at the back raise their long necks upward with open, pointed beaks, while the others huddle with necks curved down or tucked toward the group, their black legs and yellow-tipped bills visible below white plumage. A red seal and Japanese characters mark the lower left corner of the composition.
