Description
A large pink lotus flower in full bloom fills the upper left, its layered petals shading from pale pink at the tips to deeper rose near the center, with a yellow-green seed pod visible at its core. Beside it, two smaller pink buds and a spiky green seed pod rise on slender stems, accompanied by a partially unfurled bud below and a large dark green ribbed lotus leaf spreading behind the blooms. The composition is set against a pale blue background with a red artist's seal in the lower right; this woodblock print in ink and color on paper is Ohara Koson's "Lotus," 1928.
