Description
A rooster with a red comb and wattle, cream-and-gold plumage, and a sweeping curved white tail stands over two small yellow chicks with dark speckled markings, one chick reaching up toward the rooster's beak. The scene is set against a muted grey-green ground with sparse thin grass blades and a few pale pink petals scattered in the upper portion. Woodblock print, nishiki-e, by Ohara Koson.
