Description:

Rows of gray, interlocking roof tiles fill the lower half of the composition, rendered in flat bands of charcoal with pale gray highlights along each curved ridge. Above the roofline, several banner flags — two blue-and-white with vertical black kanji, one red-and-white with bold white kanji — fly from slender pale masts against a plain blue sky, while the upper right corner is filled with a tan-and-black diamond lattice pattern. The woodblock print, titled Untitled, flags, is pencil-signed and stamped with a small red seal at lower right; no date is recorded.
