Description
A wooden staircase climbs a narrow ravine between pale, deeply eroded cliff faces rendered in blue-toned woodgrain texture, ascending toward a dark night sky where a crescent moon hangs at upper right. A cloaked, hooded figure climbs the steps roughly a third of the way up, while a small dog stands further up the staircase near the middle of the composition. The palette is dominated by cool blues and grays with pale cream-and-tan wooden steps and touches of purple shading in the rock; a round artist's seal appears at the lower right. Paul Binnie, "The Steps at Black's Beach: Moonlight," 2020, color woodblock print.
