Description
An abstract composition divided into horizontal bands of vertical striping: a mottled olive-and-gray textured panel at upper left, a dense grouping of dark brown-black stripes edged in bright orange-yellow at upper right, and a narrower dark band of thin green and rust vertical lines across the bottom. No figures or recognizable setting appear; the surface has a rough, grainy texture throughout. Paul Furneaux's "Rain Icon" (date unknown) is executed in mokuhanga on gesso on board with a resin coating.
