Description

A bare-chested man with dark hair pulled into a tall topknot leans over a reddish-brown basin set on a wooden stool, kneading a pale mass of dough with both hands; a white cloth with red trim is knotted around his neck, and a loose white garment hangs from his waist. The background is divided into a pale blue-green upper section, ribbed with vertical lines and hung with thin yellow cords, and a solid mustard-yellow lower section. Paul Jacoulet's woodblock print "Le Pâtissier Corée" (Miles 135), 1952, printed in colours.
