Description
"Indication 1" (2018), a drypoint etching by Ryo Nishimura, is a non-figurative composition of a tall, narrow vertical form rendered in dense white scratched lines against a solid black rectangular field, set within a wide white border. The white marks form an irregular network of crosshatching and scribbled linework that thickens and clusters in places, giving the central shape a rough, textured, crystalline outline.
