Description
A single horse stands in profile against a mottled ochre-yellow ground, its body rendered in bold, semi-abstract patterned bands of black, white, and warm brown that swirl into curling, cloud-like forms above its mane and around its legs. The composition is vertically oriented and stylized rather than naturalistic, with the horse's form broken into interlocking curved and angular shapes accented by a small white orb near its lower body and a smaller dark orb at its flank. Pencil-inscribed below the image are the date "1968," the artist's signature "T. Nakayama," and the edition number "43/85."
