Part of a figure series exploring human connection and social grouping, rendered with Ono's flat, graphic authority. Multiple figures create compositional complexity — the problem of how bodies relate to one another in a bounded pictorial space — which Ono addresses through silhouette and the deliberate arrangement of positive and negative form. The print demonstrates his conviction that human subjects could be treated with the same formal discipline as buildings and bridges.
